Accident and Illness Abroad
If you have suffered an accident on holiday or illness abroad,
you could make a holiday claim for compensation with the help of My
Accident Solicitor, and our Personal Injury claims team.
Many thousands of UK citizens travel abroad on holiday or
business every year and it's easy to forget that health and safety
standards in foreign countries may not be the same as they are in
the UK, so the likelihood of suffering an accident abroad can be
quite high.
For a number of reasons (such as language barrier), the
consequences of an accident abroad can often be more traumatic than
if your accident happened in the UK. However, it's important that
you don't put off claiming compensation for an accident abroad.
If you've been involved in an accident abroad (including
on trains, boat or plane) and have suffered an injury, you may be
entitled to claim compensation.
My Accident Solicitor specialise in various types of accident
compensation claims, including accidents abroad.
Illness Abroad
If you have suffered illness abroad, we may be able to help you
claim compensation either against your tour operator or against
your hotel or any other party that has caused your
illness.
How long to claim?
In the UK, Court proceedings for illness claims must usually
start within 3 years of the date your illness abroad. Court
Proceedings for non-illness claims (e.g. quality complaints only)
must usually be commenced within 6 years of the start of the
holiday but, in some cases, this period may be shorter depending on
the country.
